In-Game Description

Son of an Arctic Sea Nymph and an Inuit Medicine Man, Ricky Whitehair seeks a place he can call home. For over 600 years he lived peacefully within the Arctic Circle, but the Rikti destroyed many of the peoples and places he once knew. He's in Paragon City to help insure such wanton destruction never happens again.

Commentary

Ricky is my second ice controller. My first was an ice/force field guy on Virtue, and I liked those powers a lot. But I was curious how ice and storm would pair together. I'm not sure, but I think that's all I knew going into the character generator. His name, look, and biography all came to me while there.

For the record, ice and storm pair very well. Arctic Air (AA) and Freezing Rain (FR) had particularly nice synergy. AA was a debuff aura centered around Ricky with a 25-foot aura. It would slow foes in both speed and attack frequency, as well as intermittently confuse them. FR would add a little damage, further slow them, and reduce their defense and resistance.

I like his look – with the white hair, blue skin, small wings, and trident emblem. He looks like an elf I'd like to know.
