    Fund Comparisons

The following tables display information concerning the funds available to former DBA (and most Titan) employees.  The final fund menu is quite large — 19 choices.  One way to cope with this many choices is to adopt an investment style.

Style 1:  don't bother me, just try to make me money!
Choose one of the "lifestyle" funds.  These are balanced funds, with a bit of conservatism built in.  Depending on which fund you choose, there is a different ratio of fixed-income versus equity stocks.  Three of these funds make up TRP's "Personal Strategy" suite.  The fourth, Spectrum Growth Fund, is somewhat conservative (diversified) in that it is a fund made up of other mutual funds.

    Style 2:  index it!
Choose one or both of the index funds.  The Equity Index Fund tries to track the performance of the S&P 500, which are the largest public companies in the USA.  The Extended Equity Market Index Fund tries to track the performance of the Wilshire 4500.  These are small to mid-cap US companies which are not included in the S&P 500.  By choosing both, your investment follows a "total market" approach for US funds.

Style 3:  I'll do it myself, thank you!
Choose what seems good to you.  You do your own research, have your own ideas, and now have 19 funds to implement your own strategy.
