Welcome to the Titanium Debtinator super group history page!

Who are The Titanium Debtinators?

This intrepid reporter had the opportunity to sit down with Ancient Blade, a co-founder of The Titanium Debtinators to discuss their history, their mantra, and their outlook on the future of our fair city.  He provided some background information.

The Titanium Debtinators were founded in 2004 when two groups of heroes, the Titanium Syndicate and the Debtinators, merged. These heroes were among the first on the scene after Statesman’s call to arms: “Come to Paragon City’s aid.” (Some of you readers may recall the name Spandex Avengers from those early days. These were the heroes that later became the Debtinators.) It seemed appropriate that these two groups become one to strengthen their ability to combat dark forces within the city.

Soon after their Paragon City Super Group Registration, the Titanium Debtinators saw their membership swell to over 75 (the maximum allowed by the city), so that a second group, the Obsidian Debtinators, was created. With membership of well over 100 heroes, this group was among the elite in Paragon City. With the ebb and flow of heroes into and out of the city, the group saw their numbers decrease in early 2005.  In late 2007, Super Group size was allowed to expand to 150 heroes.  The need for our Obsidian Debtinator group no longer exists.

When asked what the Titanium Debinators mantra is, Ancient Blade replied “To have fun while defeating the villains that plague our fair city. If you, as a hero, aren’t in debt, you’re not trying hard enough.”

I pressed Ancient Blade for his thoughts on the future of this Supergroup and the future of Paragon City. He replied: “My comrades and I will continue to make all efforts to protect the people of Paragon City. Through the millennia I have watched over this city; I have seen heroes join me in my duty and I have seen heroes move on to other pursuits. I have had 100 different names applied to me and the groups I have been part of. Through all of that, I have remained focused on what is important: the people. The Titanium Debtinators will exist as long as there are entities devoted to ensuring the people do not suffer. Our mutual cooperation within the organization of the Titanium Debtinators is an example of the highest commitment to this goal. Time and the Sho Gun only know what is in store for the Titanium Debtinators. May the Sho Gun view my actions honorably when I am released from my duty.  “Paragon City has changed dramatically in the millennia I have watched this land. The most significant changes have occurred in the last 100 years. If this is any indication of how things are to progress in the future, then I am optimistic about the future of this city and its people. This city and its populous will not be dominated. Heroes will always exist to stop the mages, monsters, corporations, alternate dimensions, and other, as yet unknown, enemies that exist out there. The most exciting times are ahead of us all.”

Ancient Blade has moved on to other endeavors, leaving leadership in the hands of Rainbow Six and Dark Eire.

So who exactly are these heroes? Many of them are regular citizens of the city, called into action by a particular threat or by invitation to a team of other Supergroup members. They hold down regular jobs at regular businesses in our communities. Who knows? Maybe the person in the cubicle down the hall from you is a hero, just waiting to receive the call.
